Singing for supper at East Midlands & Lincoln branch annual dinner 2017

Original singing act The Three Waiters kept guests entertained at the event, held on 11 May 2017 at Devonshire Place, Leicester

Over 60 guests contributed a total of £695.00, excluding gift aid, in aid of The National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC), which offers support to adult survivors of childhood abuse.

Branch president Jonathan Wernick, Chartered MCSI said: "A surprise element of this dinner was The Three Waiters, who fooled most into thinking they were waiting staff, until they broke into some sensational singing." He praised the event as a success and thanked the committee, regional members and his wife for the support, and endorsed David Spokes, Chartered FCSI, his successor who will be taking over the presidency role later this month.

Director of global business development, Kevin Moore, Chartered MCSI thanked Jonathan for his service over the past seven years.

Some of the top table guests were: managing director of Craigcrook Management Services, William Macdonald, Chartered MCSI; chairman of Leicestershire branch of Institute of Directors, Stephen de Looze; deputy chair of Leicester branch of Chartered Insurance Institute, Laura Bee; chairman of the East Midlands branch of Chartered Institute of Taxation, Stephen Foulkes; chairman of East Midlands Personal Finance Society, Toby Mansfield; NAPAC charity founder, Peter Saunders; and the CISI director of global business development, Kevin Moore, Chartered MCSI.

The sponsors for this event were Blackrock, BNY Mellon, Kames Capital, M&G Investments, Royal London, T. Rowe Price and UBS, without whom it would not have been possible. If you would like to support future dinners, please contact nikki.macmillan@cisi.org.
