The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is delighted to announce that Former Minister of State for Pensions, Steve Webb, will deliver the opening keynote address at the CISI’s Annual Financial Planning Conference 3rd October 2016.

The conference, run previously by the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) and with a well-deserved outstanding reputation as the largest annual gathering of the top financial planners and paraplanners in the UK, will take place at the Celtic Manor resort, Newport over three days, 3-5 October 2016.

Steve Webb, who was Minister of State for Pensions in the coalition government of David Cameron, is currently Director of Policy & External Communications for Royal London. It is expected he will share a unique perspective at the conference based on his experience in government, as well as his current work for Royal London, and identify how changes in pension policy will impact financial planners and their customers.

Simon Culhane, Chartered FCSI and CISI Chief Executive said: “We are delighted that Steve Webb has agreed to give our Conference opening address, which is an excellent platform from which to engage the financial planning community. We look forward to welcoming him in October.”
