Students of finance from 19 countries across the world celebrated their exam achievements at CISI’s Awards
event in Mansion House, London. 42 winners were based overseas - the highest ever number.
The annual CISI Awards ceremony marks the success of achievers who obtained the highest score in their exams. There
was a total of 106 winners including CISI’s Educational Trust students.
Countries with first time winners include Morocco, Pakistan and Thailand. The live
event (29 March) was hosted, for the second year running, by BBC Presenter Huw Edwards and featured
short speeches from CISI exam panel volunteers and a previous award winner. This was a hybrid event with achievers
both in person and virtually proudly displaying their award plaques and certificates.
The gender split of winners for this year’s 2023 cohort is 62% male and 38% female, compared to the gender
split for the 2022 cohort which was 66% male and 34% female.
Candidates were recognised for their achievements across categories and levels including Schools &
Universities, Foundation, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Wealth Management, Operations, Islamic Finance,
Risk & Compliance, Wealth Management and Financial Planning.
Firms with the highest number of winners were Evelyn Partners, One Search Limited and
Securities & Commodities Authority UAE (four prizes each).
UK regions represented this year are London – 25, Northern Ireland – 5, Scotland – 4,
Northern Home Counties – 3, Birmingham – 2, Jersey – 2, Southern – 2, Bristol & Bath
– 1, East Midlands & Lincoln – 1, Essex – 1, Liverpool, Chester & North Wales –
1, Manchester – 1, South Coast – 1, South East – 1, Wales – 1, Yorkshire –
1.
