The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Singapore Annual Awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of 19 of Singapore’s high flyers of global financial services.
These top performing achievers were recognised for their outstanding exam achievement and prizes were awarded in 11 categories including Islamic banking and finance, wealth and investment management, global securities operations, global financial compliance, operational risk, asset servicing, derivatives and securities.
Of the 19 CISI Award winners, nine were female and 10 male.
The CISI Award ceremony was held at Philip Securities and sponsors included BNP Paribas Securities Services Singapore, DBS Bank Ltd and Schroders. The annual CISI Awards celebrate those students who have achieved the highest mark in their particular exam subjects out of all exam candidates who entered to sit that exam during the year.
Tavia Chua ACSI, CISI Country Head, Singapore said: “It is indeed a very happy occasion as we celebrate the exceptional performance of this year’s award winners. The winners have made this day possible, through persistence and dedication. We feel privileged to have played a part in helping the winners to achieve what is recognised to be a benchmark qualification across the global financial profession. The past year has been defined by achievements, supportive friendship and enduring relationships and we look forward to another wonderful year.”
David Rawle, Managing Director, APAC, Fitch Learning said: “It was fantastic to see a group of highly motivated individuals celebrating their CISI achievements. We wish them all continued success in their careers and, as a CISI Fellow myself, I have no doubt they will have benefited greatly from their learning journey to date.”
Heng Mei Kim, who achieved the CISI Managing Operational Risk in Financial Institutions Level 4 Award said: “This is my second professional qualification with CISI; the self-study journey was challenging amidst work and personal commitments, however the joy of success overcomes all. The qualification has equipped me with the practical knowledge needed in my work and in fact it has also helped to shape my career path.”
Yulia Sharipova MCSI, achiever of the CISI Level 3 International Introduction in Securities and Investment exam said: “
Joining the CISI has granted me access to a breadth of knowledge across multiple areas of financial services. As someone who is very passionate about continuous learning and development, I was immediately intrigued by the myriad of certifications, Professional Refreshers, and other resources available to me through CISI. My experience has been extremely rewarding and impactful to my career, and having recently passed the Diploma in Investment Compliance, I am proud to wear the MCSI letters behind my name!”
Special commendation goes to Lim Siew Fen for achieving two Awards.
