The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Hamish Warnock ACSI as Chair of the CISI Wealth Management Forum Committee.
The Wealth Management Forum Committee encourages the CISI’s members to share their ideas and listen to presentations by other practitioners. The Forum provides an opportunity to meet other professionals and engage in open discussions in a confidential setting, as Forums are conducted under the Chatham House rule, unless recorded for CISI TV.
Hamish is Senior Relationship Manager at Raymond James. He is responsible for the commercial and strategic relationships of 40 independent Wealth Management practices that Raymond James supports, representing approximately 100 certified Investment Managers/Financial Planners.
He takes over the role of Chair from Freddy Barker who spent nine years on the Committee, holding the position of Chair for his final year. Hamish is also active in the CISI Young Professionals Forum (YPN) and sat on the CISI 2020 Integrity Debate panel.
On his appointment Hamish said: “Having been on the CISI Committee since 2017, I am absolutely thrilled to now be taking on the role of Chair. As a Committee, we have arranged a number of wonderful events over the past few years, even virtually during these tricky times and I am excited to help continue this excellent work with my fellow colleagues during 2021 and beyond. We find ourselves in an interesting time and so we as a Committee will work hard to listen to our members and what they would find of interest or benefit most from. Participation is equally important and I look forward to continuing our involvement with the CISI’s Young Professional’s Network”
Kevin Moore, Chartered FCSI, CISI Director of Global Business Development said: “I would like to thank Freddy for his excellent leadership of the Forum over the last few years and welcome Hamish in his new role. We look forward to supporting him with his ideas and strategy for the Forum in the future.”
The global body has nine professional forums which include the practitioner areas of: Bond, Compliance, Corporate Finance, International Regulation, Financial Technology, IFP (Financial Planning), Operations, Risk and Wealth Management. There are also two Interest Groups: Paraplanner and Training and Competence.
